Sarina Price
About Sarina
I am a recent Texas transplant originally from New York, though having lived first in Boston, MA and then Lancaster, PA over the last five years, I also call these places “home.” My husband’s work as a doctor of neuropsychology with a specialization in sports related concussion has now brought us happily to Texas.
My graduate work was completed in Boston in 2017, where I married my long-standing love of dance and movement with psychology, earning myself a Master’s degree and license in mental health counseling with a dance/movement therapy and expressive arts therapy specialization. In 2018 I additionally pursued a certification in nutritional psychology, or the study of how food affects mood and behavior. I plan to write a children’s book on the subject some day!
I have worked with a variety of populations since the start of my training in 2015 including: Children ages 0-12 and adolescents with developmental, behavioral, traumatic and/or neurological disabilities, families of children with special needs, adults with intellectual disabilities, and healthy adults seeking traditional counseling and/or nutritional psychology consultation. A significant portion of my training took place in a therapeutic day school in Boston where I held many roles including those as a therapeutic teacher, an educational advocate, individual therapist, group therapist, family therapist and therapeutic nanny. In the year following my time in Boston, I started a private practice which encompassed individual and family therapy, therapeutic nannying, and nutritional psychology consultation.
When not at work I can be found in a yoga studio, on a long walk, cooking up healthful creations, or spending time with my husband of two years in our new, Texas home.
